This honey is from hives right here in Kent, in the Flanders neighborhood north of the village. Basswood, a native tree that grows abundantly in the Housatonic River valley and flowers around the 4th of July is likely the main component. However, there might also be some Black Locust, Autumn Olive, Privet, Sumac and other wildflower nectar in there as well.

This honey is raw and only coarsely filtered. In time, it may crystallize. If that occurs, you can re-liquify it by putting the jar in some warm water (110-120 degrees is ideal).
