Makers & Bakers Market

Home-made specialties to support new homes

Start your Kent Pumpkin Run weekend with Kent Affordable Housing.
Mark your calendar for October 25 and 26 as we host our annual Fall benefit. This event, showcasing local crafts, services, arts and edibles, reflects the diversity of talents that make Kent a vibrant place to work

and live.

To launch the Makers & Bakers Market, KAH will host the 2nd annual Preview Party on Friday night, October 25 from 6-7:30pm. For a small fee, early-bird guests will be able to browse and have first choice of goods and services for sale while enjoying locally-sourced beer, wine and hors d’oeuvres.

On Saturday, October 26 from 10-3pm, our Makers & Bakers Market will be open to all to shop. Take home a whole pie or other baked treat, shop for handmade gifts, or purchase local service gift certificates.

This significant fundraiser for KAH is a warm-hearted way for residents and visitors to celebrate Kent and get to know each other.

Each year KAH calls on community bakers, chefs and pie connoisseurs for donations of tasty fruit pies, tarts, cakes, cookies and other baked desserts to be featured at the sale. Health Department regulations prevent us from selling home-baked pies with meat, fish, dairy or eggs.
Donors can drop off pies at St. Andrew's on Friday from 2-4pm or 8-9:30am on the morning of the event.  For information or pie pick-up, contact
Donna Sommers at 203-556-2951 or

Invitations will be mailed in October to local residences as well as friends outside of Kent.  Please check our website in the fall for more details. To join our invitation list, email
